The garden

Our garden is the heart of Casa de Adoufe. An explosion of colors, flavors and aromas that change with the course of the seasons.

Reaching almost 2 hectares, the garden is the true protagonist of Casa de Adoufe. Carefully designed, each area has its own personality: sunny green fields, rocky hillside areas, the coniferous forest, the slope with azaleas and rhododendrons, or the camellias’ path.

Close to the house and blending with the garden, there is the barbecue area, set up for several dinner guests.

The swimming pool area gives way to a more than half a kilometre cobbled path, which runs through the wooded garden to the top of the hill, offering magnificent views of the valley all along.

Discreetly lit, on the nights of August it allows to climb to the top in order to enjoy the Perseid meteor shower.

Discreetly lit, on the nights of August it allows to climb to the top in order to enjoy the Perseid meteor shower. The great diversity of plant species transforms the garden with the seasons, flowers and colour becoming the keynote. 18.000 m² for the private use and enjoyment of our guests.

In addition, organic food lovers will be able to enjoy the more than 100 fruit trees scattered throughout the garden.

The Outdoor Swimming Pool

Protected by a rocky hillside and dominating the A Mahía Valley, the pool area is our favorite retreat during the summer months.

A broad stone path grants access from the house to the swimming pool area. Located upon a rocky hill, it enjoys a privileged geographical position. During summer months, the sun bathes the water from sunrise to sunset. Large, intimate and sheltered by the hill, the swimming pool area enjoys views over the valley. A wrought iron and glass table under a wisteria and jasmine pergola entices the casual reader.

In addition, framed by golden stone paving and numerous pergolas with flowers, the pool (13 x 6.5 m) is surrounded by vegetation and provides many services (bathroom, showers, private area, living and dining rooms). Therefore, it is favoured by most visitors from May to October.
